Because this picture made it as an editors pick here on Busythumbs I decided to enter some background information for the folks interested.
You are looking at the Dutch government parliamental buildings, located in the centre of the political capital Den Haag (The Hague in English). Behind you can see the vague shapes of some new 'skyscrapers' that are build to house some of the governmental departments.
In the big pond in front there used to be a floating icerink every winter, but cost cuttings made them move it to a square nearby. |

And finally, a bit late, it's winter in Holland. We haven't seen so much snow in at least 30 years!
